Outstanding Ofsted Judgement

A Testament to Excellence

We are thrilled to announce that Walworth School has received an Outstanding judgement from Ofsted for our residential services. This prestigious recognition reflects our commitment to provide exceptional care and education, ensuring that our pupils thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment.

What Does an Outstanding Ofsted Judgement Mean?

Residential provision is inspected under the social care common inspection framework. The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills (Ofsted) assesses residential settings on various factors, including

· Overall Experiences and progress of children and young people

· Children say that they love staying at the residential provision. They say that they feel safe and that the adults always look after them well. Children are provided with new opportunities and experiences that enable them to learn how to become more self-aware and grow in confidence.

· How well children and young people are helped and protected

· There is an exceptionally strong safeguarding culture at this residential provision.

· The effectiveness of leaders and managers.

· The head of care is experienced and an exceptional leader. The school leadership team is invested and shares the head of care’s aspiration to make a difference to children’s lives.

Continuous Improvement

Receiving an Outstanding judgement indicates that our services exceed the highest national standards and are committed to continuous improvement. While we celebrate this outstanding achievement, we remain committed to striving for excellence in all we do. Our goal is to maintain our high standards of care and education and to continue to innovate and adapt to meet the changing needs of our pupils
